He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it for eternal life.

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life on account of Me shall find it.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's, will save it.

If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

Whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life shall preserve it.

But I count myself as nothing; nor do I regard my life as valuable to myself, so that I may complete my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear solemn testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.

Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, in behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus."

Women received their dead back by resurrection. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, in order that they might obtain a better resurrection.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
