Then Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead.
He was speaking this word with boldness. And Peter, taking Him aside, began to rebuke Him.
Then the Jews encircled Him and said to Him, "How long will You hold us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly."
However, Jesus spoke about his death, but they thought that He was speaking about resting in sleep.
And I rejoice for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him."
"These things I have spoken to you in figures of speech; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.
His disciples said to Him, "See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech!
