For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

For he knew that they had handed Him over because of envy.

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy Baby which is to be born shall be called the Son of God.

Then he said to them the third time, "Why, what evil did He do? I have found no guilt deserving death in Him. Therefore when I have flogged Him, I will release Him."

And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this Man did nothing wrong."

And when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man!"

Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?"

Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

I will no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, because I always do the things pleasing to Him."

But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

"For truly they were assembled against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

who being the effulgence of His glory and the exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For it was fitting for Him, on account of whom are all things and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the Author of their salvation through sufferings.

Therefore He was obligated to become like His brothers in all respects, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, in order that He might make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus Christ,

Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), why is there yet a need for another priest to rise, according to the order of Melchizedek, and not to be called according to the order of Aaron?

Now this is the main point of the things being said: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

by how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, will cleanse your conscience from dead works in order that we might serve the living God?

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless,

"Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth";

who having gone into heaven, is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being subjected to Him.

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only concerning ours, but also concerning those of the whole world.

And you know that He appeared that He might take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says the Holy One, the True One, " He who has the key of David, He that opens and no man shuts, except He that opens, and no man shall open."
