And a man lame from his mother's womb, being carried, whom they would lay each day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;

But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,

Now it came to pass, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat alongside the road begging.

Therefore the neighbors and those who previously saw him, that he was blind, were saying, "Is not this he who sat and begged?"

and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered before God.

And looking intently at him and becoming fearful he said, "What is it, lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.

And a certain man in Lystra, powerless in his feet, was sitting, lame from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

Then they recognized that this was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and amazement because of that which had happened to him.

For the man was over forty, on whom had come about this sign of healing.
