Now after some days, when Felix arrived with Drusilla his wife, who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
But when Paul's sister's son heard about the ambush, he came and entered into the barracks, and told this to Paul.
he said, "I will give you a hearing when your accusers arrive." And he commanded him to be guarded in Herod's Praetorium.
But after two years had passed, Felix received Porcius Festus as his successor; and Felix, desiring to grant favors to the Jews, left Paul in prison.
But Festus answered that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he was about to go there shortly.
And the next day we put in to harbor at Sidon. And Julius treated Paul kindly, and permitted him to go to his friends to find care.
Now when we came to Rome, the centurion handed over the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier guarding him.
