Now when it was day, some of the Jews joined in a conspiracy and bound themselves by a curse, saying neither would they eat nor drink until they would kill Paul.

and plotted to take Jesus by guile and kill Him.

Then he began to curse and swear, saying, "I do not know the Man!" And immediately a rooster crowed.

And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children."

And there were over four hundred who had made this plot;

who came to the chief priests and to the elders and said, "We have bound ourselves by oath with a curse to taste nothing until we kill Paul.

Therefore you must not be persuaded by them; for more than four hundred of them are lying in wait for him, who have bound themselves by a curse neither to eat nor to drink until they kill him; and now they are prepared, waiting for the promise from you."

And when it became known to me that a plot against the man by the Jews was about to happen, I sent him at once to you, and also commanded the accusers to state the charges against him before you. Farewell.

asking for favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem--while planning an ambush to kill him along the way.

Now when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted to kill him.

But their plot became known to Saul. And they closely watched the city gates both day and night, in order that they might kill him.

If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Marana tha!

In journeys often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my own race, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers in the sea, in dangers among false brothers;

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"

forbidding us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but the wrath of God has come upon them to the uttermost.
