and she was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Now she who is really a widow and having been left alone, has set her hope on God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.

By faith Sarah herself also received power for conception of seed, and she bore a child past the normal age, because she regarded Him faithful who had promised.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
