"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, and that Day come upon you unexpectedly.

But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened; so that from now on even those having wives should be as though they had none,

and those weeping as though not weeping, and those rejoicing as though not rejoicing, and those buying as though not possessing,

What then is my reward? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ free of charge, so as not to exploit my rights in the gospel.

Now the phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removal of the things being shaken, as having been made, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

you who do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little time, but then also disappears.

For "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

Now the end of all things is at hand; therefore be of sound mind and self-controlled in your prayers.

And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
