Therefore I consider this to be good because of the present distress, that it is good for a man to be as he is:

But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to the women nursing a baby in those days!

But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing a baby in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath among this people.

Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

Have you been bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Have you been released from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

But even if you should marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin should marry, she has not sinned. But such will have trouble in the flesh, and I would spare you.

But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they should remain as I also remain;

not to be quickly shaken from your mind, nor be disturbed, neither by spirit nor by word nor by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ has come.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who are disobedient to the gospel of God?
