And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

"Blessed are you whenever they revile you, and they persecute you, and they say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And dividing His garments, they cast lots.

Remember the word which I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Bless those that persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Therefore "If your enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire upon his head."

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to forego working?

I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you,

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working that which is good with his hands, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.

For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

nor did we eat bread from anyone without paying, but in labor and hardship, working night and day, so as not to be a burden to any of you,

For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

who, being verbally abused, did not return verbal insults, when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

But even if you should suffer on account of righteousness, you are blessed. "But do not fear their threats, nor be troubled."

not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called for this purpose, that you may inherit a blessing.

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

Yet Michael the archangel, when taking issue with the devil, was arguing about the body of Moses, dared not to bring a railing accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
