For in fact the body is not one part but many.

For just as the body is one and has many parts, but all the parts of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body?

And if all parts were one part, where would be the body?

But now indeed there are many parts, but one body.

Therefore, having put off falsehood, "Let each one speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
