After all these things happened, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision. [84] God said, “Abram, don’t be afraid. I will defend you. And I will give you a great reward.”
God will make his people strong.\par People will praise God’s followers.\par People will praise Israel.\par They are the people God fights for.\par Praise the Lord!\par
The leaders of the nations meet together\par with the people of the God of Abraham.\par All of the leaders of all the nations\par belong to God.\par God is over them all!\par
And I will play the harp and praise you.My God, I will sing that you can be trusted.I will play songs on my lyre {\cf2\super [409]} for the Holy One of Israel.
The Lord is our protector and glorious king. {\cf2\super [491]} \par God blesses us with kindness and glory.\par The Lord gives every good thing\par to people who follow and obey him.\par
The nation of Israel is full of guilt. This guilt is like a heavy weight the people have to carry. Those people are like bad children from evil families. They left the Lord. They insulted the Holy One (God) of Israel. They left him and treated him like a stranger.
The Lord, the Holy One of Israel, saves you. And the Lord says, “I will send armies to Babylon for you. Many people will be captured. Those people, the Chaldeans, will be taken away in their own boats. (The Chaldeans are very proud of those boats.)
Why? Because I, the Lord, am your God. I, the Holy One of Israel, am your Savior. I gave Egypt to pay for you. I gave Ethiopia and Seba to make you mine.
