You let me see troubles and bad times.But you saved me from every one of themand kept me alive.No matter how deep I sank,you lifted me out of my troubles.

Look! My troubles are gone!\par I now have peace.\par You love me very much.\par You did not let me rot in the grave.\par \{You forgave all my sins.\}\par You threw my sins far away.\par

I was at the bottom of the sea,\par the place where mountains begin.\par I thought I was locked in this prison forever.\par But the Lord my God took me out\par of my grave!\par God, you gave me life again!\par

At three o’clock Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani.” This means, “My God, my God, why have you left me alone?” {\cf2\super [229]}

Jesus suffered the pain of death, but God made him free. God raised Jesus from death. Death could not hold Jesus.

When it says, “He went up,” what does it mean? It means that he first came down low to earth.

I answered, “You know who they are, sir.”

The Lord causes people to die, and he causes them to live. The Lord sends people down to the grave, [21] and he can raise them up {to live again}.
