Lord, hear my prayer for fairness.\par I am calling loudly to you.\par And I am being honest in the things I say.\par So, please listen to my prayer.\par
The Lord is my Rock, {\cf2\super [97]} \par my Fortress, {\cf2\super [98]} \par my Place of Safety.”\par My God is my Rock.\par I run to him for protection.\par God is my shield.\par His power saves me. {\cf2\super [99]} \par The Lord is my hiding place\par high in the hills.\par
The Lord will protect me\par when I am in danger.\par He will hide me in his tent. {\cf2\super [163]} \par He will take me up\par to his place of safety.\par
The Lord lifted me out of the grave. {\cf2\super [246]} \par He lifted me from that muddy place. {\cf2\super [247]} \par He picked me up,\par put me on solid ground\par and kept my feet from slipping.\par
My God, I am so sad because\par I must remember you from this place,\par from this small hill {\cf2\super [261]} where\par the Hermon mountains and\par the Jordan River meet.\par
Why am I so sad?\par Why am I so upset?\par I should wait for God’s help.\par I will get the chance to praise God yet.\par He will save me!\par \par \par
\{I may have many enemies,\}\par but God is my fortress. {\cf2\super [365]} \par God saves me.\par God is my place of safety\par high on the mountain.\par Not even great armies can defeat me.\par
\{If this would happen\}, then the king {\cf2\super [294]} would be like a place to hide from the wind and rain. It would be like having streams of water in a dry land. It would be like a cool shadow from a large rock in a hot land.
“You poor city!\par Enemies came against you like storms.\par And no one comforted you.\par But I will build you again.\par I will use a beautiful mortar\par to lay the stones of your walls.\par I will use sapphire stones\par when I lay the foundation.\par
