It was in those days that Hezekiah became very sick and near death. He prayed to the Lord. The Lord spoke to Hezekiah and gave him a sign. {\cf2\super [395]}
But, Lord, by your great mercy,\par I will come to your temple. {\cf2\super [26]} \par I will bow toward your holy temple\par with fear and respect for you, Lord.\par
The enemy is finished!\par Lord, you destroyed their cities!\par Now, only ruined buildings are left.\par Nothing is left to remind us\par of those bad people.\par
My followers will call to me for help,\par and I will answer them.\par I will be with them when they have trouble.\par I will rescue them and honor them.\par
I will turn against that person. I will destroy him. He will be an example to other people. People will laugh at him. I will remove him from my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord!
If they are captured\par and taken away by their enemies,\par I will command the sword,\par and it will kill them there.\par Yes, I will watch over them,\par but I will watch for ways\par to give them troubles,\par not for ways to do good things.”\par
