Numbers 23:9Easy To Read VersionI see those people from the mountain. I see them from the high hills. Those people live alone. They are not part of another nation. See the chapter |
Then Haman came to King Xerxes. He said, “King Xerxes, there is a certain group of people scattered among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom. Those people keep themselves separate from other people. Their customs are different from those of all other people. And those people don’t obey the king’s laws. It is not best for the king to allow those people to continue to live in your kingdom.
The Lord says these things.\par “Jacob, my servant, don’t be afraid.\par I am with you.\par I sent you away to many different places.\par But I will not destroy you completely.\par But I will destroy all those nations.\par You must be punished\par for the bad things you did.\par So I won’t let you escape your punishment.\par I will discipline you, but I will be fair.”\par
I am giving the command\par \{to destroy the nation Israel\}.\par I will scatter the people of Israel\par among all nations.\par But it will be like a person \{sifting flour\}.\par A person shakes flour through a sifter. {\cf2\super [117]} \par \{The good flour falls through,\}\par but the bad lumps are caught.\par \{It will be that way with Jacob’s family.\}\par
