The poles were long enough that their ends could be seen from the front of the Most Holy Place. But no person could see the poles from the outside of the temple. The poles are still there even today.
So they decided to use the money to buy a field called Potter’s Field. This field would be a place to bury people that died while visiting \{in Jerusalem\}.
(Joshua also put twelve rocks in the middle of the Jordan River. He put them at the place where the priests stood while carrying the Lord’s Holy Box. [15] Those rocks are still at that place today.)
