“You know that the day after tomorrow is Passover. {\cf2\super [391]} On that day the Son of Man {\cf2\super [392]} will be given \{to his enemies\} to be killed on a cross.”
It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [186]} festival. Many people from the country went to Jerusalem before the Passover. They went to do the special things to make themselves pure \{for the Passover\}.
Six days before the Passover {\cf2\super [189]} festival, Jesus went to Bethany. Bethany is the town where Lazarus lived. (Lazarus is the man Jesus raised from death.)
