Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, {\cf2\super [229]} the Son of the living God.”

Jesus warned them not to tell anyone.

When the voice finished, only Jesus was there. Peter, James, and John said nothing. At that time they told no person about what they had seen.

The first thing Andrew did was to go find his brother, Simon. Andrew said to Simon, “We have found the Messiah.” (“Messiah” means “Christ. {\cf2\super [28]} ”)

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “Remember what Moses wrote in the law. Moses wrote about a man that was coming. The prophets {\cf2\super [30]} wrote about him too. We have found him. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph. He is from Nazareth.”

Martha answered, “Yes, Lord. I believe that you are the Christ, {\cf2\super [177]} the Son of God. You are the One that was coming to the world.”

But these things are written so that you can believe that Jesus is the Christ, {\cf2\super [268]} the Son of God. Then, by believing, you can have life through his name.

“So, all the Jewish people should know this truly: God has made Jesus to be Lord and Christ. {\cf2\super [40]} He is the man you nailed to the cross!”

So who is the liar? It is the person that says Jesus is not the Christ. {\cf2\super [7]} A person that says Jesus is not the Christ is the enemy of Christ. That person does not believe in the Father (God) or in his Son (Christ).
