Haman started bragging about how rich he was. He was bragging to his friends about his many sons, and about all the ways the king had honored him. And he was bragging about how the king had promoted him higher than all the other leaders.
If a person does not care about God,\par then there is no hope for that person\par when he dies.\par That person has no hope\par when God takes his life away.\par
Our life is like an image \{in a mirror\}. {\cf2\super [239]} \par We rush through life collecting things,\par but we don’t know who will get them\par \{after we die\}.\par
If you get rich by cheating poor people and charging them high interest rates, then you will lose your wealth. It will go to another person who is kind to them.
They come and say,\par “I will drink some wine.\par I will drink some beer.\par I will do the same thing tomorrow.\par Only, I will drink even more.”\par
Sometimes a bird will hatch an egg\par that it did not lay.\par A person that cheats to get money\par is like that bird.\par When that man’s life is half finished,\par he will lose the money.\par At the end of his life, it will be clear\par that he was a foolish person.”\par
People will say, “We have peace and we are safe.” At that time destruction will come to them quickly. Destruction will come like the pains of a woman who is having a baby. And those people will not escape.
Give this command to the people who are rich with the things this world has. Tell them not to be proud. Tell those rich people to hope in God, not their money. Money cannot be trusted. But God takes care of us richly. He gives us everything to enjoy.
