“When the ruler gives a freewill offering to the Lord—it might be a burnt offering, a fellowship offering, or a freewill offering—the east gate will be opened for him. Then he will offer his burnt offering and his fellowship offerings like he does on the Sabbath {\cf2\super [457]} day. After he leaves, the gate will be shut.
You will celebrate those holidays in addition to remembering the Lord’s Sabbath [413] days. You will offer those gifts in addition to your other gifts to the Lord. You will offer those things in addition to any offerings you give as payment for your special promises. They will be in addition to any special offerings you want to give to the Lord.
Judah, look!\par Look there, coming over the mountains.\par Here comes a messenger\par bringing good news!\par He says there is peace!\par Judah, celebrate your special holidays.\par Judah, do the things you promised.\par Those worthless people\par will not come through\par and attack you again!\par Why? Because all those bad people\par have been destroyed!\par
Then the Lord will choose a place to be his special house. The Lord will put his name there. And you must bring all the things I command you to that place. Bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, one tenth of your crops and animals, [75] your special gifts, any gifts you promised to the Lord, and the first animals born in your herd and flock.
“There are some things you must not eat in the places where you live. These things are: the part of your grain that belongs to God, the part of your new wine and oil that belongs to God, the first animals born in your herd or flock, any gift that you promised to God, any special gifts you want to give or any other gifts for God.
