Mordecai wrote these letters to tell the people to start celebrating Purim. And he told them when to celebrate this new holiday. Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had sent out the command for the Jews. They did this to establish this two-day holiday for themselves and their descendants. {\cf2\super [33]} They will remember this holiday just like they remember the other holidays when they fast {\cf2\super [34]} and cry about the bad things that had happened.

Moses told Aaron why the Lord had sent him. And Moses told Aaron about all the miracles and things he must do to prove that God had sent him. Moses told Aaron everything the Lord had said.

“As for you, Jeremiah, get ready.\par Stand up and speak to the people.\par Tell them everything that I tell you to say.\par Don’t be afraid of the people.\par If you are afraid of the people,\par then I will give you good reason\par to be afraid of them.\par

You must tell them the things I say. I know they won’t listen to you. And they won’t stop sinning against me! Why? Because they are a rebellious people.

“Son of man, {\cf2\super [28]} I am making you a watchman {\cf2\super [29]} for Israel. I will tell you about bad things that will happen to them. And you must warn Israel about those things.

”Nineveh {\cf2\super [2]} is a big city. I have heard about the many evil things people are doing there. So go to that city and tell the people to stop doing those bad things.”

Then the Lord spoke to Jonah again. The Lord said,

So Jonah obeyed the Lord and went to Nineveh. Nineveh was a very big city. A person had to walk for three days to travel through the city.

You must do the things that show that you have really changed your hearts and lives.

Later Jesus found the man at the temple. {\cf2\super [78]} Jesus said to him, “See, you are well now. But stop sinning or something worse may happen to you!”
