No person chose God to be\par in charge over the earth.\par No one gave God responsibility\par for the whole world.\par \{God created everything\par and he has always been in control.\}\par
God forced the other nations\par to leave that land.\par God gave each family its share of the land.\par God gave each family group of Israel\par its home to live in.\par
I was there when the Lord\par made the skies.\par I was there when the Lord\par drew the circle around the land\par and set the limits for the ocean.\par
I was there when the Lord set the limits\par for water in the seas.\par The water can’t rise higher\par than the Lord allows.\par I was there when the Lord made\par the foundations of the earth.\par
Who measured the oceans\par in the palm of his hand?\par Who used his hand to measure the sky?\par Who used a bowl to measure all the dust\par of the earth?\par Who used measuring scales to measure\par the mountains and hills?\par \{It was the Lord!\}\par
\{The Lord is the true God!\}\par He sits above the circle of the earth,\par \{and compared to him\}\par people are like grasshoppers.\par He rolled open the skies\par like a piece of cloth.\par He stretched the skies\par like a tent to sit under.\par
The Lord raises poor people from the dust.
He takes away their sadness. [22] The Lord makes poor people important.
He seats them with princes
and at the places for honored guests.
The Lord made the whole world!
And the whole world belongs to him! [23]
