Job, do you think we don’t have\par an answer for you?\par Do you think no one will warn you\par when you laugh at God?\par

The things you say\par clearly show your sin.\par Job, you are trying to hide your sin\par by using clever words.\par

Job answered his wife, “You talk like a foolish woman! God gives us good things, and we accept them. So we should also accept trouble \{and not complain\}.” All these things happened. But Job did not sin. He did not speak against God.

“Job, you are walking on the old path\par that evil people walked on long ago.\par

Why do I say that?\par Because Job says,\par ‘A person will gain nothing\par if he tries to please God.’\par

A person will be truly happy if he\par doesn’t follow the advice of bad people\par and doesn’t live like sinners\par and doesn’t feel at home with people\par who don’t respect God. {\cf2\super [1]} \par

I am not one of those worthless people.\par

You see a thief,\par and you run to join him.\par You jump into bed with people\par doing the sin of adultery.\par

My son, don’t follow those people. Don’t even take the first step along that path.

Be friends with people who are wise, and you will become wise. But if you choose fools to be your friends, then you will have trouble.

Wisdom and understanding will stop you from living the wrong way like evil people. Those people are evil even in the things they say.

Don’t follow the path evil people walk on. \{Don’t live like that.\} Don’t try to be like them.

Don’t be fooled: “Bad friends will ruin good habits.”
