God completely destroyed\par Sodom and Gomorrah {\cf2\super [414]} \par and the towns around them.\par \{And no person lives in those towns now.\}\par In the same way, no people\par will live in Babylon.\par And no people will ever go to live there.\par

2 Peter 2:6

And God also punished the \{evil\} cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. {\cf2\super [7]} God burned those cities until there was nothing left but ashes. God made those cities be an example to show what will happen to people who are against God.

Revelation 11:8

The bodies of the two witnesses will lie in the street of the great city. This city is named Sodom {\cf2\super [84]} and Egypt. These names for the city have a special meaning. This is the city where the Lord was killed.
