This is what the Lord says, ‘I will bring trouble to this place and to the people living here! I will bring all the terrible things that are written in the book that was read in front of the king of Judah.
A man named Micaiah heard all the messages from the Lord that Baruch read from the scroll. {\cf2\super [306]} Micaiah was the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan.
The king of Nineveh heard about these things. And the king was also sorry for the bad things he did. So the king left his throne. {\cf2\super [13]} The king removed his robe and put on special clothes \{to show he was sorry\}. Then the king sat in ashes. {\cf2\super [14]}
