Lord, you understand me.\par Remember me and take care of me.\par People are hurting me.\par Give those people the punishment\par that they deserve.\par You are being patient with those people.\par But don’t destroy me\par while you remain patient with them.\par Think about me.\par Think about the pain I suffer for you, Lord.\par
Sometimes I say to myself,\par “I will forget about the Lord.\par I will not speak any more\par in the name of the Lord!”\par But when I say that,\par then the Lord’s message is like a fire\par burning inside of me!\par It feels like it is burning\par deep in my bones!\par I get tired of trying to hold\par the Lord’s message inside of me.\par And finally, I am not able to hold it in.\par
This is what we are proud of, and I can say with all my heart that it is true: In all the things we have done in the world, we have done everything with an honest and pure heart from God. And this is even more true in the things we have done with you. We did this by God’s grace (kindness), not by the kind of wisdom the world has.
