Jeremiah 15:9

The enemy will attack with swords\par and kill the people.\par They will kill the survivors {\cf2\super [129]} from Judah.\par A woman might have seven sons,\par \{but they will all die.\}\par She will cry and cry\par until she becomes weak\par and not able to breathe.\par She will be upset and confused.\par Her bright day will become dark from sadness.”\par

But I will give those people to Nebuchadnezzar. I will let Judah’s enemy win. Nebuchadnezzar’s army wants to kill the people of Judah. So the people of Judah and Jerusalem will be killed with swords. Nebuchadnezzar will not show any mercy. He will not feel sorry for those people.’

Jeremiah 44:27

I am watching over those people of Judah. But I am not watching over them to take care of them. I am watching over them to hurt them. The people of Judah that live in Egypt will die from hunger and be killed by swords. They will continue to die until they are finished.

People who had plenty of food in the past must now work to get food. But people who were hungry in the past now grow fat on food! The woman who was not able to have children now has seven children! But the woman who had many children is sad because her children are gone.
