We sinned and turned against the Lord.\par We turned away from him and left him.\par We planned evil things.\par We planned things that are against God.\par We have thought of these things\par and planned them in our hearts.\par

Young lions’ (enemies) roar at Israel.\par The lions growl.\par Lions have destroyed the land of Israel.\par The cities of Israel have been burned.\par There are no people left in them.\par

“The people of Babylon\par are like roaring young lions.\par They growl like baby lions.\par

The Lord my Master used his own name and made a promise. The Lord God All-Powerful made this promise:

But to my people,\par they are like an enemy.\par You steal the clothes right off the backs\par of people walking by.\par Those people think they are safe.\par But you \{take things from them\}\par like they are prisoners of war. {\cf2\super [32]} \par

I fired the three shepherds all in one month. I became angry at the sheep, and they began to hate me.
