Many people brought gifts for the Lord to Jerusalem. They brought valuable things to Hezekiah king of Judah. From that time on, all the nations respected Hezekiah.
I will see God\par with my own eyes.\par I myself, not someone else,\par will see God,\par And I can’t tell you how excited\par that makes me feel!\par
The Lord will rule as king\par on Mount Zion {\cf2\super [234]} in Jerusalem.\par His Glory {\cf2\super [235]} will be before the elders. {\cf2\super [236]} \par \{His Glory will be so bright that\}\par the moon will be embarrassed,\par the sun will be ashamed.\par
King Hezekiah listened to those things. Then Hezekiah tore his clothes \{to show he was upset\}. Then Hezekiah put on the special clothes of sadness and went to the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [346]}
I became very scared. I said, “Oh, no! I will be destroyed. I am not pure (good) enough to speak to God. And I live among people that are not pure enough to speak to God. {\cf2\super [66]} Yet I have seen the King, the Lord All-Powerful.”
Everything will be good and beautiful!\par There will be a wonderful crop,\par but it will not be just the food and wine.\par It will be all the young men and women!\par
The Word {\cf2\super [5]} became a man and lived among us. We saw his glory—the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace (kindness) and truth.
If a person knows my commands and obeys those commands, then that person truly loves me. And my Father will love the person that loves me. And I will love that person. I will show myself to him.”
“Father, I want these people that you have given me to be with me in every place I am. I want them to see my glory. This is the glory you gave me because you loved me before the world was made.
Dear friends, now we are children of God. We have not yet been shown what we will be in the future. But we know that when Christ comes again, we will be like him. We will see him like he really is.
