The world and sky will end,\par but you will live forever!\par They will wear out like clothes.\par And, like clothes, you will change them.\par They will all be changed.\par
God, you were God\par before the mountains were born\par and the earth and the world were made.\par God, you have always been,\par and you will always be, God!\par
The skies will be rolled shut like a scroll. {\cf2\super [313]} And the stars will die and fall like leaves from a vine or a fig tree. All the stars {\cf2\super [314]} in the sky will melt away.
Who caused \{these things to happen\}?\par Who did this?\par Who called all people from the beginning?\par \{I, the Lord, did these things\}!\par I, the Lord, am the first.\par I was here before the beginning.\par And I will be here when all things\par are finished.\par
The Lord is the king of Israel. The Lord All-Powerful saves Israel. The Lord says, “I am the only God. There are no other gods. I am the Beginning and the End.
But look, the Lord my Master helps me. So no person can show me to be evil. All those people will become like worthless old clothes. Moths will eat them.
Look up to the heavens!\par Look around you at the earth below!\par The skies will disappear\par like clouds of smoke.\par The earth will become\par like worthless old clothes.\par The people on earth will die,\par but my Salvation will continue forever.\par My goodness will never end.\par
Why? Because they will be like\par old clothes.\par Moths will eat them.\par They will be like wool.\par Worms will eat them.\par But my goodness will continue forever.\par My salvation will continue\par forever and ever.”\par
The words “once again” clearly show us that everything that was made will be destroyed. Those are the things that can be shaken. And only the things that cannot be shaken will continue.
God called this a new agreement, {\cf2\super [90]} so God has made the first agreement {\cf2\super [91]} old. And anything that is old and useless is ready to disappear.
The voice said, “Write in a book all these things you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
