Pharaoh told Joseph to ride in the second chariot {in the parade}. Special guards walked ahead of Joseph’s chariot and told the people, “Bow down to Joseph.”
Joseph was the governor of Egypt at the time. And Joseph was the man who checked the sale of grain to people who came to Egypt. So, Joseph’s brothers came to him and bowed before him.
He said, ‘Tell Joseph that I beg him to please forgive his brothers for the bad things they did to him.’ So now Joseph, we beg you, please forgive us for the bad things we did to you. We are the servants of God, the God of your father.
