But my master said to me, ‘I serve the Lord, and the Lord will send his angel with you and help you. You will find a wife for my son among my people there.
Elijah said, “You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, then that will happen. But if {you don’t see me when I am taken from you}, then it won’t happen.”
Elijah and Elisha were walking and talking together. Suddenly, some horses and a chariot [11] came and separated Elijah from Elisha. The horses and the chariot were like fire! Then Elijah was carried up into heaven in a whirlwind.
But God will pay the price\par and save my life. {\cf2\super [296]} \par He will save me\par from the power of the grave\par when he takes me \{to be with him\}!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [297]})\i0 \par
The Lord says:\par “A sound will be heard in Ramah.\par It will be bitter crying and\par much sadness.\par Rachel {\cf2\super [253]} will be crying for her children.\par Rachel will refuse to be comforted,\par because her children are dead.”\par
“A sound was heard in Ramah.\par It was bitter crying\par and much sadness.\par Rachel cries for her children;\par and she cannot be comforted,\par because her children are dead.”\par \i (Jeremiah 31:15)\i0 \par
God is in the light (goodness). We should live in the light, too. If we live in the light, then we share fellowship with each other. And when we live in the light, the blood (death) of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. (Jesus is God’s Son.)
