Men used force and took him—and they did not judge him fairly. No person can tell about his future family, because he was taken from the land of living people. He was punished to pay for the sins of my people.
Those officials were very angry with Jeremiah. They gave an order for Jeremiah to be beaten. Then they put Jeremiah in a prison. The prison was in the house of a man named Jonathan. Jonathan was a scribe {\cf2\super [322]} for the king of Judah. Jonathan’s house had been made into a prison.
And I am suffering because I tell that Good News. I am even bound with chains like a person who has really done wrong. But God’s teaching is not bound.
