On the twelfth day of the tenth month (January) of the tenth year \{of exile\}, {\cf2\super [239]} the word of the Lord my Master came to me. He said,

Jeremiah 46:2

This message is about the nation of Egypt. This message is about the army of Pharaoh Neco. Neco was the king of Egypt. His army was defeated at the town of Carchemish. Carchemish is on the Euphrates River. Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated the army of Pharaoh Neco at Carchemish in the fourth year that Jehoiakim was king of Judah. {\cf2\super [365]} Jehoiakim was the son of King Josiah. This is the Lord’s message to Egypt:

Ezekiel 20:1

One day, some of the elders (leaders) of Israel came to me to ask the Lord for advice. This was on the tenth day of the fifth month (August), of the seventh year \{of exile\}. {\cf2\super [138]} The elders (leaders) sat down in front of me.

In the eleventh year \{of exile\}, {\cf2\super [210]} on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me. He said,

In the twenty-fifth year after we were taken away into captivity, at the beginning of the year (October), on the tenth day of the month {\cf2\super [306]} the Lord’s power came on me. This was fourteen years after the Babylonians took Jerusalem. On that day, the Lord took me there \{in a vision\}.

One day I (Ezekiel) was sitting in my house, and the elders (leaders) of Judah were sitting there in front of me. This was on the fifth day of the sixth month (September) of the sixth year \{of exile\}. {\cf2\super [58]} Suddenly, the power of the Lord my Master came on me.

Leviticus 9:2
