But Zipporah took a flint knife [37] and circumcised [38] her son. She took the skin and touched his feet. Then she said {to Moses}, “You are a bridegroom of blood to me.”
{Abraham, this is the agreement between you and me:} Any male that is not circumcised will be cut off from his people. [97] Why? Because that person has broken my agreement.”
So Jethro went to Moses while Moses was camped near the mountain of God. [119] Jethro brought Moses’ wife, Zipporah, with him. (Zipporah was not with Moses, because Moses had sent her home.)
