Esther 6:6

When Haman came in, the king asked him a question. He said, “Haman, what should be done for a man the king wants to honor?”

The king asked those men, “What does the law say must be done to Queen Vashti? She has not obeyed the command of King Xerxes that the eunuchs have taken to her.”

Haman started bragging about how rich he was. He was bragging to his friends about his many sons, and about all the ways the king had honored him. And he was bragging about how the king had promoted him higher than all the other leaders.

So Haman got the robe and the horse. Then he put the robe on Mordecai and led him on horseback through the city streets. Haman announced ahead of Mordecai, “This is done for the man the king wants to honor!”

The king’s servants said, “Haman is standing in the courtyard.”

So Haman answered the king, “Do this for the man the king loves to honor:

Then put one of the king’s most important leaders in charge of the robe and the horse. And let that leader put the robe on the man the king wants to honor. And then let him lead him on the horse through the city streets. As he leads him, let him announce, ‘This is done for the man the king wants to honor!’”

Some people want good things\par to happen to me.\par I hope those people will be very happy!\par Those people always say,\par “The Lord is great!\par He wants what is best for his servant.”\par

“Foolish people die because they refuse to follow wisdom. They are happy to continue in their foolish ways, and this will destroy them.

If a person is proud, then he is in danger of destruction. If a person thinks he is better than other people, then he is in danger of defeat.

A proud person will soon be ruined. But an humble person will be honored.

Some people think they are very good. They think they are much better than other people.

“Look at my Servant!\par I support him.\par He is the one I chose.\par And I am very pleased with him.\par I put my Spirit in him.\par He will judge the nations fairly.\par

They will make me happy. I will enjoy doing good to them. And I will surely plant them in this land and make them grow. I will do this with all my heart and soul.’”

And a voice spoke from heaven. The voice said, “This (Jesus) is my Son and I love him. I am very pleased with him.”

And if you are sitting in the most important seat, then the person that invited you will come to you and say, ‘Give this man your seat!’ Then you will begin to move down to the last place. And you will be very embarrassed.

God did this so that all people will respect the Son the same as they respect the Father. If a person does not respect the Son, then that person does not respect the Father. The Father is the One who sent the Son.
