Now, carefully obey all the commands of the Lord your God. Carefully obey all his laws and commands and decisions and agreements. Obey everything that is written in the Law of Moses. If you do this, then you will be successful in everything you do and every place you go.

I enjoy studying your Agreement {\cf2\super [587]} \par more than anything.\par

People who obey the Lord’s Agreement {\cf2\super [586]} \par are happy.\par They obey the Lord with all their heart.\par

Don’t let me be ashamed and embarrassed.\par I have obeyed your Agreement. {\cf2\super [588]} \par

Your Agreement is my best friend.\par It gives me good advice.\par

If I always obey your laws, Lord,\par

Then I could truly honor you as I study your fairness and goodness.\par

Moses gave God’s law to the people of Israel.

Moses gave them these laws while they were on the east side of the Jordan River, in the valley across from Beth Peor. They were in the land of Sihon, the Amorite king that lived at Heshbon. (Moses and the people of Israel had defeated Sihon when they came out of Egypt.

You must be sure to obey the commands of the Lord your God. You must follow all the teachings and laws he has given you.
