And when the Lord your God lets you take the city, you must kill all the men in it.

Now where are my enemies? Where are the people that did not want me to be king? Bring my enemies here and kill them. I will watch them die!’”

But if the city refuses to make peace with you and fights against you, then you should surround the city.
