Deuteronomy 1:39

“And the Lord said to us, ‘You said your little children would be taken by your enemies. But those children will go into the land. {I don’t blame your children for your mistake, because} they are still too young to know if something is right or wrong. So I will give the land to them. Your children will take the land for their own.

Did the Lord bring us to this new land to be killed in war? The enemy will kill us and take our wives and children! It would be better for us to go back to Egypt.”

You were afraid and complained that your enemies in that new land would take your children away from you. But I tell you that I will bring those children into the land. They will enjoy the things that you refused to accept.

In the past, all of us lived like those people. We lived trying to please our sinful selves. We did all the things our bodies and minds wanted. We were \{evil\} people. We should have suffered God’s anger because of the way we were. We were the same as all other people.
