“The virgin {\cf2\super [15]} will be pregnant and will give birth to a son. They will name him Immanuel.” {\cf2\super [16]} (Immanuel means, “God with us.”)
The Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [60]} came down on him. The Spirit looked like a real dove. Then a voice came from heaven and said, “You are my Son and I love you. I am very pleased with you.”
The Word {\cf2\super [5]} became a man and lived among us. We saw his glory—the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace (kindness) and truth.
But if I do the same things my Father does, then you should believe in the things I do. You might not believe in me, but you should believe in the things I do. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”
Father, I pray that all people that believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that these people can also be one in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.
That’s right. We are God’s children. So, you must not think that God is like something that people imagine or make. He is not like gold, silver, or rock.
We should live like that while we are waiting for the coming of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He is our great hope, and he will come with glory.
