The Lord protects strangers {\cf2\super [647]} in our country.\par The Lord cares for widows {\cf2\super [648]} and orphans. {\cf2\super [649]} \par But the Lord destroys bad people.\par
When Jesus came near the town gates, he saw a funeral. A mother, who was a widow, {\cf2\super [127]} had lost her only son. Many people from the town were there with the mother while her son was being carried out.
More and more people were becoming followers of Jesus. But during this same time, the Greek-speaking followers had an argument with the other Jewish followers. They said that their widows {\cf2\super [107]} were not getting their share of the things that the followers received every day.
But Ananias answered, “Lord (Jesus), many people have told me about this man (Saul). They told me about the many bad things this man did to your holy people {\cf2\super [189]} in Jerusalem.
If a widow is really alone and without help, then she hopes in God \{to take care of her\}. That woman prays all the time, night and day. She asks God for help.
