So the people made an idol that looked like a calf. Then they brought sacrifices (gifts) to it. The people were very happy with what they had made with their own hands!

They did not stop worshiping demons {\cf2\super [72]} and idols {\cf2\super [73]} made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—things that cannot see or hear or walk.
