“Son of man, {\cf2\super [14]} don’t be afraid of those people. Don’t be afraid of the things they say. It is true, they will turn against you and try to hurt you. They will be like thorns. You will think you are living with scorpions. {\cf2\super [15]} But don’t be afraid of the things they say. They are a rebellious people. But don’t be afraid of them.
So Paul and Barnabas stayed in Iconium a long time, and they spoke bravely for the Lord. Paul and Barnabas told the people about God’s grace (kindness). The Lord proved that what they said was true by helping the apostles {\cf2\super [283]} (Paul and Barnabas) do miracles and wonders. {\cf2\super [284]}
But Barnabas accepted Saul and brought him to the apostles. {\cf2\super [195]} Barnabas told the apostles that Saul had seen the Lord (Jesus) on the road \{to Damascus\}. Barnabas explained to the apostles how the Lord had spoken to Saul. Then he told the apostles that Saul spoke for the Lord (Jesus) without fear to the people in Damascus.
