The men who were preparing to question Paul moved away from him immediately. The commander was afraid because he had already tied Paul, and Paul was a Roman citizen. {\cf2\super [448]}
The Jews had taken this man (Paul), and they planned to kill him. But I learned that he is a Roman citizen, {\cf2\super [460]} so I went with my soldiers and saved him.
