2 Chronicles 20:26

On the fourth day Jehoshaphat and his army met in the Valley of Beracah. {\cf2\super [233]} They gave praise to (blessed) the Lord in that place. That is why people still call that place, “The Valley of Beracah.”

Jehoshaphat and his army came to take valuable things from the bodies. They found many animals, riches, clothes, and valuable things. Jehoshaphat and his army took those things for themselves. The things were more than Jehoshaphat and his people could carry away. They spent three days taking away the valuable things from the dead bodies, because there was so much.

Then Jehoshaphat led all the men from Judah and Jerusalem back home to Jerusalem. The Lord made them very happy because their enemies were defeated.

The poles were long enough that their ends could be seen from the front of the Most Holy Place. But no person could see the poles from the outside of the temple. The poles are still there even today.

Then Moses built an altar. [118] Moses named the altar, “The Lord is my flag.”

You will never again be called\par ‘The People that God had Left.’\par Your land will never again be called\par ‘The Land that God Destroyed.’\par You will be called\par ‘The People God Loves.’\par Your land will be called\par ‘God’s Bride.’\par Why? Because the Lord loves you.\par And your land will belong to him.\par

“Praise to the Lord God of Israel (the Jews).\par God has come to help his people\par and has given them freedom.\par

And all the people of Jerusalem learned about this. That is why they named that field Akeldama. In their language Akeldama means “field of blood.”)

After this, Samuel set up a special stone. {He did this to help people remember the things God did.} Samuel put the stone between Mizpah and Shen. [87] Samuel named the stone “Stone of Help.” [88] Samuel said, “The Lord helped us all the way to this place!”
