Solomon’s businessmen bought a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels {\cf2\super [8]} of silver, and a horse for 150 shekels {\cf2\super [9]} of silver. The businessmen then sold the horses and chariots to all the kings of the Hittite people and to the kings of Aram.
The king must not get more and more horses for himself. And he must not send people to Egypt to get more horses. Why? Because the Lord has told you, ‘You must never go back that way.’
