Saul said, “You are right, and I am wrong. You have been good to me. But I have been bad to you.

David answered, “Here is the king’s spear. Let one of your young men come here and get it.

Today I showed you that your life is important to me! In the same way, the Lord will show that my life is important to him! The Lord will save me from every trouble.”

People told Saul that David had run away to Gath. So Saul stopped looking for him.
