Solomon woke up. He knew that God had talked to him in the dream. Then Solomon went to Jerusalem and stood before the Box of the Lord’s Agreement. [16] Solomon offered a burnt offering for the Lord. And he made fellowship offerings to the Lord. After that, he gave a party for all of the leaders and officials that helped him rule.

One of the women said, “Sir, this woman and I live in the same house. We were both pregnant and almost ready to give birth to our babies. I gave birth to my baby while she was there with me.

The next day, Moses had the special job of judging the people. {There were very many people,} so the people had to stand before Moses all day.

If people have an argument, they come to me. I decide which person is right. In this way, I teach the people God’s laws and teachings.”

God has the right to hide things that he does not want us to know about. But a king is honored for the things he says.

“Don’t make your daughter become a prostitute. [341] That only shows you don’t respect her! Don’t let people be prostitutes in your country. Don’t let your country be filled with that kind of sin.
