So Obadiah went to King Ahab. He told him where Elijah was. King Ahab went to meet Elijah.

Elijah answered, “As sure as the Lord All-Powerful lives, I promise that I will stand before the king today.”

When Ahab saw Elijah he said, “Is it you? You are the man that causes trouble in Israel!”

But I will save you on that day, Ebed-Melech.’ This is the message of the Lord. ‘You won’t be given to the people you are afraid of.
